My Activity at Home during Yogyakarta Trip

When all of my friends were visiting Yogyakarta to do field trip, i didn't join them. The reason why i didn't join them is because i was sick and i needed to take a full bed rest. The day before all of my friends went to Yogyakarta , I was brought by my mom to the doctor. By then, the doctor told me that i needed to take a rest and i couldn't join my friends to Yogyakarta. I felt really sad and disappointed
but there was nothing i could do, i had to follow the doctor's order and suggestions in order to get better.

I spent most of my time in sleeping, eating and watching television. I watched several movies and also read my novel and magazine. I was so bored and tired at home because there was nobody in my house to accompany me except my driver and my maid. They were also busy in doing their work. Besides, my brother was at school, studying. After school, he had to make his homework and doing his assignments so we couldn't talk much.

On the other hand, my mom and my dad were also busy working. So basically, that time, i had no idea what to do. But fortunately, i still could chat with my friends to know what they were doing. They were having so much fun, i was so happy for them. It was such a pity for me that i was ill that time, if i was able to maintain my health, perhaps i could join the trip.

After 2 days of resting, finally i recovered from my illness. I was able to do my activity again as in normal situation. That day, my friends were coming back from Yogyakarta and we would have school on Monday. I felt so enthusiastic about Monday, about going to school, even though usually i don't. I think that because I really wanted to meet my friends again, to come back to my daily routine. After days passed of regretting because i couldn't join them, i realised that the doctor was right. If i forced myself to join the trip, probably my body will get worse which would lead to another bigger problem. On Monday i could go to school, study, and do my normal activities again.

Open House 2015

Last Friday and Saturday , SMPK1 held an open house. Open house is an event which is done every 2 years. Each class had a stand and give service. Our class, 8A collaborating with 8E made a labyrinth. The labyrinth called PHASMOPHOBIA, all of us felt very excited for this event. We prepared the materials for the labyrinth, we collected our money and decorated the class. Fortunately we got quite impressive profits. Besides, people especially students who played the felt  satisfied with our labyrinth.

There were so many stands in the open house, so many people came, from children to adults. There was also an exhibition for subjects and class programs. I did the demonstration for science experiment in the DCP stand. Many parents who were curious came to our stand and asked about the DCP program. Starting from the subjects until the teachers.

The open house went great, from the stands, classes, exhibition, until the performances. I believe that the teachers felt proud for the students' jobs.

My Holiday

Last holiday, me and my family went to Japan. We felt really excited about this trip. We arrived at the airport in Tokyo in the morning and our journey started. We went to Sky Tree which was the highest building in Tokyo that allow us to look the beautiful sight of the city. After that we went to Asakusa Temple and Madam Tussaud's wax museum. Late at night, we went to our hotel and stayed there for a rest.
The next day, we went to Tokyo Disneyland. Tokyo Disneyland was so adorable. I really enjoyed the view there and also the parade that happened every single hour. Among all of the games, Star Tour was my favourite. Besides, i also really like the Haunted House game.
The third day, we went to Tokyo Disneysea. Tokyo Disneysea was very different with Disneyland even though their names are similar. But personally, i liked Disneysea more since Disneysea was much bigger and it had a really beautiful view. On the other hand, Disneysea wasn't as crowded as Disneyland which made us feel more comfortable.
The very next day, we took the Shinkansen train which was really fast to move to Osaka. We visited the Kawaguchi Lake and Mountain Fuji. Our family really enjoyed the view and the atmosphere there. It was relaxing and made us loose our stress.
On the fifth day, we went to Universal Studio which was basically my favourite place in the whole trip. There was Jaws, Water World, Jurassic Park, Spiderman, Terminator, and many more. But actually, the thing that made me very happy and excited to be there was Harry Potter Wizarding World since I basically really like Harry Potter especially the movie. The surrounding there was exactly the same as in the movie. I really enjoyed it.
During the last day of our stay, we went to such different shopping centre. We bought some stuff and also souvenir before we went back to Indonesia. This holiday was very unforgettable and really fun.

Baking Tips

Read before you bake – It helps if you are baking a recipe for the first time to thoroughly read through the recipe so that you understand all the steps, and have all of your tools, pans and ingredients lined up. Otherwise, you may end up halfway through your recipe, only to realize that you have to run next door for your missing ingredient!
Bake with the finest ingredients – Your desserts will only be as tasteful as the ingredients that go into making them. Using only the freshest ingredients for dairy, such as eggs, butter or milk, as well as fresh fruits and spices, will give you the best results.
Room temperature – Remember to bring refrigerated items like butter, eggs, and cream cheese to room temperature before you start to assemble your recipes. Average indoor room temperature is usually 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C), so adjust according to any weather related extremes. A good idea is to take those ingredients out of the refrigerator at least a of couple hours before you plan to bake. If you forgot to take the eggs out, and you need to use them right away, take the chill out by dipping them in a bowl of warm water. For butter, cut into chunks, and at room temperature, it will soften in about 15 minutes.
Measure accurately – Be certain that your measurements are accurate and consistent. Use metal or plastic measuring cups for dry ingredients, and glass or clear plastic for liquids. Use calibrated measuring spoons – not table utensils – to measure dry ingredients.
Fluff up flour or confectioners' sugar – Before you spoon flour into a dry measuring cup, use a fork to fluff up the flour. Then level it in the measuring cup with a butter knife. Also fluff confectioners' sugar before you spoon into a measuring cup
How to pack brown sugar – To firmly pack brown sugar into your measuring cup, as the cup fills, press the sugar down firmly with a spoon or your fingers, and then level off with a butter knife or with the top of a flat spatula. The brown sugar should just hold its shape when turned out of the cup.
Mix it right – Dry ingredients should be combined together thoroughly in one bowl before you combine them with liquids.
Gentle with pie crust and other pastry dough – After you add liquid to the dough, handle it gently and use only a dusting of flour on the rolling pin or counter. Too much handling and/or flour results in a tough pie crust. Letting the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes makes it easier to handle. Use as few firm strokes as possible when rolling.
The right pan size – Always use the pan size called for in a recipe to avoid burning or over brimming when baking. To calculate the pan’s width, measure across the top from inside edge to inside edge.
Always bake at the correct temperature – Be sure to accurately preheat the oven. Then closely monitor the oven thermometer to maintain a consistent temperature. Try not to open the oven door; use the oven light instead to check on your baking. If you have opened the oven door, you may need to increase the baking time.
Let the air circulate – When you place your pans in the oven, place them in the middle of the center oven rack to allow for air circulation.
Is it done yet? – To be certain if your baked item is done, carefully insert a cake tester or wooden toothpick into the middle of the dessert. Be careful not to insert it into any moist ingredient like jam or jelly. Your dessert is ready to enjoy when the tester comes out clean.
Cool it – Just because it’s out of the oven doesn’t mean you’re done. Cooling time is also key to your end result. Some recipes call to cool completely on a wire rack. This is important, because if you leave the item in the pan, the heat from the pan will continue to bake it to the point where it gets overdone.

Method
Prep:20min  ›  Cook:2min  ›  Ready in:22min

  1. Spread 4 slices of bread with half of the mayonnaise. Divide the shredded lettuce among the slices, then add the sliced chicken breast.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan and dry fry the strips of Parma ham for 1–2 minutes or until crisp and curly. Pile on top of the chicken and season with pepper (the ham is salty). Spread mayonnaise on another 4 slices of bread and put these, mayonnaise-side down, on the chicken and ham.
  3. Mash the avocado flesh with the lime juice. Divide among the sandwiches, spooning onto the bread and spreading out roughly. Top with the chopped orange, watercress, alfalfa sprouts and pumpkin seeds. Put the final slices of bread on top. Press down gently, then cut each sandwich in half or into quarters for serving.

Some more ideas

Use mustard and cress if alfalfa sprouts are not available. * Use reduced-fat mayonnaise to cut down on the fat even more. * Replace the orange with dry-pack sun-dried tomatoes, rehydrated in water and then finely chopped. * Substitute chopped chicory leaves for the watercress. * For fruity chicken club sandwiches, replace the top deck of avocado, orange, watercress, alfalfa sprouts and pumpkin seeds on each sandwich with 1 tbsp crunchy peanut butter, 1/2 sliced banana sprinkled with a little lemon juice, 2 fresh dates, skinned and chopped, and 1 tsp chopped parsley.
Biography of Albert Einstein

Einstein is very famous of his smartness and intelligence. Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later on began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. Later, they moved to Italy and Albert continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1901, the year he gained his diploma, he acquired Swiss citizenship and, as he was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office. In 1905 he obtained his doctor's degree. Albert Einstein received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many European and American universities. During the 1920's he lectured in Europe, America and the Far East, and he was awarded Fellowships or Memberships of all the leading scientific academies throughout the world. He gained numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London in 1925, and the Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute in 1935.Einstein's gifts inevitably resulted in his dwelling much in intellectual solitude and, for relaxation, music played an important part in his life. He married Mileva Maric in 1903 and they had a daughter and two sons; their marriage was dissolved in 1919 and in the same year he married his cousin, Elsa Löwenthal, who died in 1936. He died on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey.
Biography of Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa was the founder of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor. She lived in 19910-1997
In February 1965, Pope Paul VI bestowed the Decree of Praise upon the Missionaries of Charity, which prompted Mother Teresa to begin expanding internationally. By the time of her death in 1997, the Missionaries of Charity numbered over 4,000—in addition to thousands more lay volunteers—with 610 foundations in 123 countries on all seven continents.
The Decree of Praise was just the beginning, as Mother Teresa received various honors for her tireless and effective charity. She was awarded the Jewel of India, the highest honor bestowed on Indian civilians, as well as the now-defunct Soviet Union's Gold Medal of the Soviet Peace Committee. And in 1979, Mother Teresa won her highest honor when she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of her work "in bringing help to suffering humanity."
Controversy
Despite this widespread praise, Mother Teresa's life and work have not gone without criticism. In particular, she has drawn criticism for her vocal endorsement of some of the Catholic Church's more controversial doctrines, such as opposition to contraception and abortion. "I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion," Mother Teresa said in her 1979 Nobel lecture.
In 1995, she publicly advocated a "no" vote in the Irish referendum to end the country's constitutional ban on divorce and remarriage. The most scathing criticism of Mother Teresa can be found in Christopher Hitchens' book The Missionary Position: Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice, in which Hitchens argued that Mother Teresa glorified poverty for her own ends and provided a justification for the preservation of institutions and beliefs that sustained widespread poverty
